Delivery and Returns

Please note that these delivery timescales are advisory only and public holidays and bad weather may affect delivery times.  While we will always try and keep to them wherever possible, we cannot guarantee them. 

Availability

Items marked as 'Available' on the website are either in stock, or should be able to be obtained from our suppliers quickly (usually in time for a standard delivery).
Please note that the available stock is checked once a day (overnight), and any orders placed by other people after this time may not have been taken into account.  For this reason, we always advise contacting us before placing your order to check our stock levels prior to placing your order. Please just get in touch with the item reference and we will be more than happy to check for you. 
If you have time and prefer to place your order without checking stock levels first that is okay. We will get in touch with you if we find that there is an issue with the stock when processing your order. 

Delivery Rates - UK Mainland

Please note that we are unable to allocate a safe place or a neighbour to leave your parcel with.  Orders delivered by courier can have a safe place or designated neighour assigned directly with the courier using the link that we will send you in the dispatch confirmation email. We are unable to prearrange these on your behalf. Unfortunately orders delivered by Royal Mail do not have this facility. Any special delivery requests entered in the order comments (with the exception of requesting courier deliveries on a particular day) unfortunately will not be actioned.  

Please be aware that if you opt for a courier to leave the parcel in a safe place, you will become liable in the event that something goes wrong with the delivery when/after the courier delivers it. For courier deliveries, we pay for a signed-for service that requires a signature. We are happy to accept responsibility for your parcel until it has been signed for at the address you enter on your order. If you override your delivery to change the delivery address or to be left in a safe place (and therefore not requiring a signature), that is your choice and it will become your responsibility if something happens to your parcel after we hand it to the courier and they deliver your parcel. Any issues regarding the delivery/safe place would need to be taken up directly with the courier in those circumstances. We are happy to accept responsibility for your parcel until it has been signed for at the address you enter on your order.

Standard delivery is normally dispatched using a Royal Mail (Second Class) service. This option is valid for the UK Mainland and is expected to arrive within approximately 3-5 working days, although please note that this timescale is not guaranteed. This is a tracked service and the Second Class option is priced as follows:
   Basket value:  £0 - £99.99  =  £3.99
   Basket value:  Over £100  =  Free
If your parcel is particularly heavy or valuable we may upgrade your delivery to a First Class or Courier delivery. If we do so it will be at no additional cost to yourself and should not exceed your expected delivery time.

Royal Mail (First Class) service is also available if you would like your items a little quickler. This option is valid for the UK Mainland and is expected to arrive within approximately 1-3 working days, although please note that this timescale is not guaranteed. This is a tracked service and the First Class option is priced as follows:       
   Basket value:  £0 - £99.99  =  £5.99
   Basket value:  Over £100  =  £1.99

Next Working Day Courier service is available if you need an even faster or more secure delivery. Next Working Day Orders must be completed by 11:00am on a standard working day (not bank holidays or weekends) to qualify for the next working day delivery. Orders received after this time will still be actioned but may not be dispatched until the following working day, resulting in an additional day for delivery. Next working day delivery is by prior arrangement only. This is primarily so that we can check that we have enough stock instantly available for you. No refund will be given on a Next Working Day surcharge if it is selected but has not been pre-arranged and we are out of stock or the order is not processed in time. 
   Basket value:  £0 - £99.99  =  £9.99
   Basket value:  Over £100  =  £5.99

Example:  If you pre-arrange a next working day delivery and complete the order at 10:50am on Thursday, you will receive it on Friday.  If you place the order at 11:12am on Thursday, while we will try and dispatch the same day, it may not be dispatched until Friday, and would therefore be received on Monday. 

Please note that when we approve a next working day delivery, we are confirming that we will dispatch your order same day (or by the following day at the latest if your order is received by us after 11am).  We are also confirming that we will arrange and pay for a next working day delivery with the courier.  While we would expect all of our Next Working Day deliveries to have a delivery attempt on the next working day, please note that unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the delivery will definitely be made on the next working day.  This is because once it has left our premises it is with an external courier.  Adverse weather or problems with a delivery vehicle, although rare, could possibly influence the delivery. Please note that if the driver calls at the delivery address and you are not able to answer the door, this still counts as an attempted delivery.

A Saturday Courier Delivery is available if you cannot wait until Monday. Saturday delivery orders must be completed by no later than 11:00am on the Friday and are by prior arrangement only. Please note that Saturday deliveries do not take place on public holidays. Saturday delivery is by prior arrangement only. This is primarily so that we can check that we have enough stock instantly available for you.    
   Basket value:  £0 - £99.99  =  £24.99
   Basket value:  Over £100  =  £20.99

Sample Shipping - Unfortunately, due to people taking advantage of the automatic reduced rate sample shipping when they are not buying samples, we have had to remove the reduced rate Sample Shipping from the options available at the checkout. Samples are still available for some items where there are minimum order quantities, but full price shipping will need to be paid when purchasing your sample, although a later discount will be available. If after purchasing a single sample you then go ahead and place an order of 30 or more items, we are happy to discount this main order by half of the standard shipping costs that you will have paid for the sample. This will be a discount of £2.25 against your main order.  Please just let us know before placing your order and we will provide you with a unique voucher code to use at the checkout.  Please be aware that the shipping discount will only be available if your sample shipping was for a SINGLE item. Multiple items do not qualify for the sampe shipping discount. We are very sorry that this is a long way around to provide you with half-price shipping for the samples.  Unfortunately this has come about as a result of people abusing the easier automatic system that was in place before. PLEASE NOTE THAT SAMPLES ARE AVAILABLE ON CERTAIN ITEMS WITH PRIOR APPROVAL ONLY.  If you do not have prior permission to order a sample, you will receive an email advising you that our minimum order quantities apply.

Next Working Day / Saturday deliveries - If you have enter a mobile number while placing your order you should receive a text on the morning of the delivery giving you a 1-hour time slot. After the delivery has been arranged, you will also have the option to allocate a safe place, designate a neighbour to accept your delivery, rearrange your delivery day, or arrange to collect directly from the courier depot.  These all need to be done directly with the courier; unfortunately we are not authorised to allocate a safe place on your behalf. We will send you a dispatch confirmation email once your delivery has been arranged that will include a link that will enable you to do this. Please note that these options are not available on First Class, Second Class or Sample shipping methods.  Please be aware that if you opt for a courier to leave the parcel in a safe place, you will become liable in the event that something goes wrong with the delivery when/after the courier delivers it. For courier deliveries, we pay for a signed-for service that requires a signature. This is to give you the widest range possible, and the shortest waiting times. Some of these items may be sent to you directly from our suppliers. While we normally keep plentiful stock, it we are running low, then in some instances it may take longer for your items to arrive. If this is the case you will be notified as we are examining your order.  

Personalised favours may take an additional week on top of the above timescales.

Please be aware that while we do what we can to honour our delivery timescales, we regret that we will not accept financial responsibility for you having to source products elsewhere (even if at additional cost) if we are unable to fill your order in time. If we make an error with your order or delivery (which is very unlikely, but we are still human) we may choose to refund your delivery costs at our discretion, but further compensation is not available under any circumstances. We always recommend ordering your items in plenty of time.

Packaging

All orders are sent by UK Mail Couriers, Special Delivery or Royal Mail Post. Every care is to taken to package your items carefully and with protection, but please note that Cards by Cally accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of goods during transit, although the parcel is covered with insurance. In the unfortunate event that any damages occur during transit, please notify us immediately by email within 7 days. Recycled packaging is used where possible.

Delivery Timeframes

While we try and get all orders out within the specified timeframes, please note that we cannot be held accountable for any delay due to weather or an external carrier, however we will do what we can in order to assist you with any delivery issues that may occur. All time frames are estimates only and cannot be 100% guaranteed, especially where external carriers are concerned.

Please note that orders are not dispatched on a weekend or bank holiday.  There may be additional non-dispatch days around Christmas, Easter, or company holidays. These will be made known on the homepage of the website as soon as they are decided upon.

International Delivery Rates

We are happy to ship our products internationally. Please email us with the item reference numbers and quantities required, so that we can calculate the shipping rates.  This is done by weight, so unfortunately we do require this information prior to being able to quote you a price. Please note that international deliveries will take longer than to arrive than a UK delivery, and as such do not come under the delivery timescales as mentioned above.  Example international shipping rates are shown below, although these prices are subject to change, so please contact us to confirm BEFORE placing your order.

 

Returns

If you are in any way unhappy with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible via email and we will do what we can to rectify the problem.

We will gladly accept the return of products for 14 days from the date of purchase, for any reason. They then need to be received back by us within 14 days of you notifiying us of your intent to return. We do not accept returns after this period. In the extremely unlikely event that the wrong item is shipped or arrives damaged (photographs will need to be supplied), we will replace the item by sending out using a Tracked delivery (usually Royal Mail).

Please note that it is with regret that we are unable to refund or replace personalised, edible items (such as confectionery), or special order items.

International customers who receive damaged items or fulfilment mistakes will be given the option of the replacement items sent in their next order or a refund on that item only. 

No goods are offered for sale or return on an approval basis.  We advise ordering a single item as a sample prior to placing a larger if you would like to view the item prior to making a large order. We do not cover the costs of returning items unless the order has arrived faulty. Please note that returns due to fault, shipping damage or manufacturing issues will be fully inspected prior to any refund of postage being issued.

We regret that we do not refund carriage costs unless photographs/return of the item clearly shows a fault and we are unable to send out a replacement in time for your event. Please note that we will only ever refund a standard delivery charge and not 1st class or next working day surcharges, as it is your preference to choose a faster delivery service.  

Returns will need an R.M.A. before returning any item. This will be emailed to you as soon as we are aware of you being unhappy with your delivery. Please do not send any items back to us until we have confirmed a return address to you, as the return address may vary depending on whether it needs to go to ourselves, or to a supplier. Items returned without confirmation of the address that subsequently need to be forwarded on to a different address will have the forwarding costs deducted from your refund. In the event of a return being necessary please note that website purchases may only be returned to the address given by Cards by Cally to you by email. Cards by Cally does not accept responsibility for any returned item that is sent to an address that we have not specified to you for the purposes of your return, even if that address is one that is owned/used by Cards by Cally. In such instances no refund may be given.

Items returned because they did not arrive in time for your event, but were delivered within the timescales of the delivery method chosen, will only have the item cost refunded, not the delivery cost.
